Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Technician

Program Description

The Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning certificate program provides students with stills entering the automotive industry as an entry-level heating and air conditioning technician. Local industry needs properly trained personnel in order to implement repair services for the new technologies in automotive heating and air conditioning systems. This program includes theory, diagnosis, servicing, and repair of automotive heating and air conditioning systems. Program graduates will receive an Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Technician certificate and possess the qualifications of an Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Technician.

Length of Program A minimum of 15 credit hours is required for program completion. A full-time student can complete this certificate in one quarter. A part-time night student can complete this certificate in three quarters. Campus Location The Automotive Climate Control Specialist certificate is offered quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus. Entrance Requirements Required Age: 16 years of age or older Education: High School Diploma or GED Must hold a valid Georgia driver's license. Placement exam required.		Curriculum
