Length of Program
A total of 76-77 credit hours is required for graduation. A
full-time student could expect to complete the program in five
quarters.
Campus Location
The BAT Medical Administrative Assistant specialization diploma is offered
quarterly on the Coffee campus.
Employment
Opportunities
Graduates may choose to find employment as a medical assistant in a clinic, hospital, or physician's office. Because of the varied training, other job opportunities in office support positions could be available.
Personal Characteristics
To succeed in the BAT program and an office career, a person
should enjoy computer applications programs, have the ability to
multi-task, desire to work inside daily in an office environment, be
able to spend long lengths of time at a desk, enjoy assisting patients and physicians, and follow medical instructions carefully. They should possess good work ethics, customer service skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality regardin the medical site, patients, etc. |
