Length of Program
The Network Specialist Cisco Diploma requires 90 credit
hours. A full-time student can expect to complete the
program in six quarters. Portions of the CIS-Networking
Specialist (Cisco) program are available online.
Campus Location
The CIS diploma is offered
on the Ben Hill-Irwin and Coffee campuses.
Employment
Opportunities
Graduates of the CIS-
Cisco program are qualified for employment in many areas of
computer information processing or in other technical
support positions requiring knowledge of computer hardware,
networks, software, or programming. Such positions might
include those as technical support personnel for personal
computers or for networked computer systems, information
technology specialist.
Personal Characteristics
To succeed in the CIS
program and an office career, a person should enjoy computer
applications programs, have the ability to multi-task,
desire to work inside daily in an office environment, be
able to spend long lengths of time at a desk, possess
decision making skills, work under pressure, work under
little supervision, and have strong customer service skills. |
