Program Description
The Diesel Engine Service Technician Certificate is designed to prepare students for technical careers in the diesel equipment industry. The topics covered include the fundamentals of diesel technology and safety, diesel electrical systems, the servicing and overhauling of diesel engines, and diesel engine performance. Program graduates will possess the qualifications of an entry-level diesel engine service technician.

Length of Program
A minimum of 23 credit hours is required for program
completion. A full-time student can complete this
certificate in four quarters.
Campus Location
The Diesel Engine Service Technician program is offered quarterly on the Coffee Campus.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates may find employment for entry-level jobs in diesel engine service fields. With the transportation industry growing to meet the needs of customers, so will need for qualified maintenance technicians..
Entrance Requirements
Required Age: 16 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED Placement exam required.
