Program Description

The Diesel Truck Maintenance Technician Certificate is designed to prepare students for technical careers in the Diesel Truck Maintenance industry. The emphasis is placed on combination of truck/heavy equipment repair theory and practical application necessary for successful employment.

Length of Program

A minimum of 27 credit hours is required for program completion. A part-time student can complete this certificate in six quarters.

Campus Location

The Diesel Truck Maintenance Technician program is offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin and Coffee Campuses.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates may find employment for entry-level jobs in diesel truck maintenance fields. With the transportation industry growing to meet the needs of customers, so will need for qualified maintenance technicians..

Entrance Requirements
Required Age: 16 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
Placement exam required.
